Dear family. Please accept my condolences. The painful sting of death can be overwhelming. Please know that "God is a refuge and strength in times of distress".(Psalms 46:1) Also Jehovah God promises permanent consolation when "he will wipe out every tear from our eyes and death will be no more'!(Revelation 21:3-4)jw.org

Uncle Bill, the best Uncle anyone could have! I will miss you always and I will never forget our summers of road trips, riding my first roller coaster with you (and many more theme park ride firsts), all the love and kindness that you always showed others and your wisdom of reminding us all to "keep your chin up." Thank you for all that you have done for me and for the support and the love you showed to me over my many years of having the honor of calling you my uncle. My thoughts are with everyone and condolences to all the lives that you touched. My apologies to all that I can't attend, but I send my love and my family's love to everyone in Ohio with heavy hearts from North Carolina!
Since you taught me to show kindness and generosity to others, we will be donating to the Wounded Warrior Project in your name.
Never good bye, only until the next time Uncle Bill...
Love always, Jackie (and The Lorge Family)

My sympathies to all of the Maddox family at this time. Bill was an older cousin that spent time with me while I was growing up. I looked up to him like an older brother. When I would stay at Aunt Sally and Uncle Bill's house Bill would always take me to the river which was always a great adventure. He was a good man and our prayers go out to the family.

As I sit here trying to write this with tears streaming down my face I think of what a wonderful man you were. I only knew you for a few short years but enjoyed when you and your family would come to visit my farm or would come out to see us at the fair. The grand-kids were always so excited! When your Sophie wanted a cow named after her, I couldn't wait for our next heifer to be born. I love my Sophie as much as you loved yours. I'm looking forward to meeting Lois.
The one thing we never had a chance to do was sit down and have me teach you a few things on that camera and have that dinner at my house. The Lord called you home far to early. Your a good man Bill Maddox. You have one lucky family to have had you as a Dad, Husband, Brother. May you rest in peace. xoxo

Sarah Rudd and the family of Mr. Maddox. We are so sorry for you loss. Marilyn Socie was a great friend of mine. I did not know the connection until I read the obit. A great man to serve our country, and be so dedicated to helping others. Mercies and prayers.
