Charles "Chuck" R Nims

Charles “ Chuck” R. Nims, 65, of Warren, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 5:53 p.m. with his family by his side at Mercy Health St. Joseph Health Center in Warren following a battle with cancer.

Chuck was born on March 3, 1950 in Warren, the son of the late Roy C. and Elizabeth A. (Fufala) Nims Sr. and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1968 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Chuck worked for over 32 years as an assembler at Lordstown General Motors before retiring in 2000.

During his retirement, Chuck enjoyed life.  He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson.

Chuck will be missed by his daughter Tiffany Koma of Warren; a brother Gregory K. Nims of Hermitage; a sister Barbara A. McVicker of Bazetta; a niece Terri (Bob) Johnston and a nephew Christopher (Aimee) McVicker; and his side kick and best canine companion and grand-dog “Marlee”.

Besides his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by a brother Roy C. Nims, Jr.

Calling hours will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Memorial Service with Fr. Bernard R. Schmalzried officiating, will take place on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Chuck’s name be made to the American Cancer Society.
