Jeffrey Lynn Griggs

Southington – Jeffrey Lynn Griggs, 56, of Southington, passed away early Friday morning, March 8, 2019.

Jeff was born July 17, 1962 in Sikeston, Missouri, the son of James and Jean (Steffey) Griggs.

Jeff was a loving husband, father and grampy. He loved his family more than anything and always wanted the best for them. His grandson was his world and was so proud of him. Jeff loved riding his motorcycle with Beth and vacationing with her in Punta Cana. He also loved to golf with his sons Matt and Chris along with fixing things and helping his sons with their projects around their homes. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and adored his dogs Izzy and Kahlua, especially taking Izzy on car rides.

Jeff married Maribeth on May 5, 1984 at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church, Warren and they planned to celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary this May.

Jeff leaves behind to hold onto his memories, His wife Beth of Southington, two sons Matthew (Deanna) of Cortland and Christopher (Chelsey) of Farmdale, his grandson the apple of his eye Ryan, a sister Linda (Ed) McCassey of West Chester., Pennsylvania, a brother Larry of Ashville North Carolina, Brother-in-laws Greg (Laura), Mark (Lynette) and a sister-in-law Nimpha along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents James and Jean, his father and mother-in-law George and Maryann Duchnak and a brother-in-law Marty Duchnak.

Per Jeff’s wishes, a caring cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Victory Christian Center in Vienna, where family and friends may greet Jeff’s family from 1:30 p.m. until the time of the service.

Following the memorial service there will be a celebration of Jeff’s life at the Cortland Moose Lodge #1012 beginning at 5:30 p.m.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, 727 E. Market ST., Warren.

In lieu of flowers material contributions may be made in Jeff’s name to American Cancer Society, Team Diane’s. 340 Vienna Ave., Niles, Ohio 44446.
