Daniel S. Wilson, Sr., 80, of Warren Twp., passed away under the comforting care of hospice on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:35 a.m. in Community Skilled Nursing Centre in Warren.
Daniel was born April 27, 1938 in Cumberland, Maryland the son of the late George Sr. and Rosa Mae Abe Wilson.
He retired from National Shraping and was a charter member of Charity Baptist Church on School Street in Warren. Daniel enjoyed playing horseshoes at the VFW Post in Newton Falls.
Daniel was married on June 25, 1962 to the former Sandra N. Roach and they were married for 53 years until her passing on September 7, 2015.
His memoires will carry on by his children Phyllis (James) McCauley of Lordstown, Evelyn “Peach” (Paul) Hendrex of Elyria, Lula “Woosie” Heasley of Warren and Daniel S. Wilson Jr. of Niles; brothers George “Sonny” Wilson Jr. of Leavittsburg and Clifford (Joann) Wilson of Howland; eight grandchildren T.J. (Julie) Raines, Douglas and Sandi McCauley, Kayla and Kenny Heasley, Thomas (Emily) Hendrix and Tanner Hendrix; five great grandchildren Bradley (Cassidy) Wilson, Nicholas Wilson, Jonathan and Charity Raines and Kasandra Adams and a great-great granddaughter Sophia Wilson.
Besides his parents and wife, Sandy, Daniel was preceded in death by brothers Robert “Bob”, Harry “Angel” and John “Pete” Wilson and by a sister Rose Marie Wilson and by his granddaughter Danielle Adams.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 9:00 until 9:50 a.m. in the Sinchak & Kaszowski Funeral Home, 727 E. Market St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
A Funeral Service with Pastor Paul Hendrix will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home. Burial will take place in Pine Knoll Cemetery in Warren Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions may take the form of donations in Daniel’s name to Charity Baptist Church, 414 School Street, Warren, Ohio 44483.
