Anna (Gayan) Firment

Anna Firment, 99, of Warren, entered eternal life Thursday, December 28, 2017 at 12:25 p.m. in her home with her family by her side under the comforting care of hospice.

Mrs. Firment was born November 14, 1918 in Galloway, West Virginia the daughter of the late Paul and Mary Semancik Gayan.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed baking, cooking and gardening.

Mrs. Firment was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren.

She was married to Michael Firment on October 7, 1938 and they were married for 57 years until his passing on June 9, 1992.

A loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Anna is survived by two sons Donald R. (Helen) Firment and Michael G. (Gloria) Firment; a daughter Barbara Ann Gibowicz; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Firment was preceded in death by a brother Michael Gayan and sisters Mary Kacsak, Betty Rinzella, Helen Holod, Margaret Phillips and Julia Bates.

A private graveside service was held, with Fr. Simeon B. Sibenik, on Saturday, December 30, 2017 in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Warren.

The family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Anna’s name be directed to Hospice of the Valley, 5000 East Market St. Suite 9, Warren, Ohio 44484.
