Samuel Ray Marshall, 79, of Warren, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 3, 2017 at 5:16 pm in his home.

Sam was born in Fowler, Ohio on September 11, 1937 the son of the late Benjamin and Martha Sheesly Marshall and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1956 graduate of Hartford High School, Sam retired in 2001 from Delphi Packard Electric where he worked for 30 years.  He was a Jack-of-all-Trades and loved watching old movies, listening to country music and spending time with his family.

Sam is survived by his wife the former Marlene Jo Ruddy whom he married on January 7, 1984; six children Ronald (Kimberly) Harper of Warren, Randall Marshall of Knoxville, TN; Lois (Ronald) Turvy of Warren, Janet (Dusty) Ferrell of Warren, Pamela Marshall of Niles and Angie Crank of Warren; eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister Jerrine Simmerman of Howell, Michigan and a brother Robert Marshall of Florida.

Besides his parents, Sam was preceded in death by a brother Paul Marshall and a granddaughter Rikell Sayers.

A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Sinchak & Kaszowski Funeral Home, where family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Sam’s name be directed to the Salvation Army, 270 Franklin St. S.E., Warren, Ohio 44483.
