Robert M. Evon, 91, of Warren, entered into eternal life peacefully under hospice care on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 6:46 p.m. in Gillette Nursing Home in Warren.

Mr. Evon was born on September 9, 1924 in Walkertown, Pennsylvania the son of the late Michael J. and Mary Perhanich Evon.

Mr. Evon retired from Ohio Corrugating Company after working for 19 years as an assembler.

A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Evon served his country faithfully and honorably during World War II.

Mr. Evon was a long time member, before its closing, of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Warren.

Mr. Evon was married to the former Katherine Dugan on June 24, 1974 and they were married for 8 years until her passing on October 21, 1982.

Mr. Evon is survived by a brother-in-law Jack Pensky of Chagrin Falls; three nephews Alexander (Dorothy) Pensky of Shaker Heights, Jason Pensky of Mentor and Max (Katherine) Pensky of Ithica, NY and a niece Emily Pensky of Chagrin Falls; and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Evon was preceded in death by a sister Delores Pensky.

A time of brief visitation will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:50 a.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, where a funeral procession will form with closing prayers to be recited at 9:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered with Fr. Christopher Henyk officiating in St. John Paul II Parish, 420 North Street Warren, Ohio 44483 at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.  Burial will follow in SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Lordstown.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Mr. Evons name be made to St. John Paul II Parish, 1401 Moncrest Drive NW, Warren, Ohio 44485.
