Peter Victor Alberti

Peter V. Alberti, 87, of Akron and formerly of Warren, entered into eternal life with his family by his side on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. under the comfort of hospice in Pebble Creek Nursing Home following a battle with cancer.

Peter was born in Warren on July 13, 1928 the son of the late Silvio and Dosalina (Termine) Alberti and was a lifelong area resident graduating from Lordstown High School.

A Veteran of the United States Army, Peter served his country honorably during the Korean War and was discharged on December 16, 1953 with the rank of Sergeant. 

A Republic Steel retiree, Peter served as Lordstown Township Trustee for 12 years and was a member of the Lordstown VFW.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.  Most of all, Peter enjoyed spending time with his two grandchildren who were the apple of his eye.

Peter was of the Catholic faith and a member of the former Christ Our King Catholic Church in Warren, where he married his wife the former Martha Kostyshak on September 14, 1957.

Besides his wife, Martha, Peter is survived by a daughter Susan L. Buser of Akron and two grandchildren Matthew (fiancee Nicole AbouZeid) of Springfield and Lauren Buser of Akron.

Besides his parents, Peter was preceded in death by a sister, Vivian Seratko.

Calling hours will take place on Monday, November 2, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

An Order of Christian Burial Service will take place on Monday, November 2, 2015 at 3:30 p.m. with Fr. Christopher Henyk, pastor of St. John Paul II Parish in Warren, officiating in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A caring cremation will follow the services with inurnment to take place in Pineview Memorial Park at a later date.

The family suggests that memorial contributions for Mr. Alberti take the form of donations to Clearpath Hospice, 450 Grant St. Suite 220, Akron, OH 44311.
