Mary Ann Pabin Wilk, 59, of Champion, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the comfort of her home after a brave battle with stomach cancer for over the last two years; becoming an inspiration to all who knew her.

Mary Ann was born on May 22, 1957 in Warren, the daughter of the late Steve Sr. and Sophie Malarchick Pabin and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1975 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Mary Ann furthered her education by attending Kent State University.  For over 28 years, Mary Ann worked for General Motors Lordstown retiring in 2006 from the Paint Department.

Mary Ann was a devout Catholic and was baptized and raised in the former Christ Our King Catholic Church in Warren.  Upon its closure, she was a faithful member and strong supporter of St. John Paul II Parish on North Street in Warren where she was a member of the Altar & Rosary Society.

She enjoyed making raffle baskets to donate and benefit others suffering from cancer, including Relay for Life.  Mary Ann was a generous patron of the Bella Women’s Center.  She was a regular member of the Body Shoppe in Cortland, where her favorite class was Zumba.  She enjoyed spending time with her many friends and traveling to visit family.  Recently, Mary Ann celebrated her 59th birthday at a surprise party with over 100 friends and family members in attendance.

Left to cherish her memory is her lifelong partner and care giver, Michael Yanovich, with whom she made her home; a sister Rosemary “Bunny” Johnson of Warren; brothers Steve (Nancy) Pabin of Phoenix, Jim Pabin, Tom (Lucie) Pabin, Robert “Tiger” Pabin and Larry (Robin) Pabin all of Warren; two step sons, Michael S. Yanovich of Columbus and Stephen S. (Amanda) Yanovich of Newton Falls; three nieces; two nephews and by a host of friends.

Besides her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by a brother Francis “Buzzy” Pabin.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 from 8:30 a.m. until 9:20 a.m. all at the Sinchak & Kaszowski Funeral Home, 727 E. Market St., Warren, Ohio 44481.

Services will begin on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 with closing prayers to be recited at 9:20 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, with Fr. Christopher Henyk officiating, to be offered at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Paul II Parish, 420 North Street NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Champion.
