Genevieve T. Chachko, 84, of Warren, passed away Tuesday June 23, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Genevieve was born December 22, 1930, the daughter of Joseph P. and Mary (Shenosky) Toth Sr.  She was a proud graduate of Warren G. Harding Class of 1949.  Gennie will always be a Harding Panther.

Gennie worked at Trumbull Lamp for seven years while attending Kent State University.  She graduated from Kent State University in 1958 and was immediately hired at Warren City Schools as a 4th and 5th grade teacher.  She would spend the next thirty years educating Warren’s youth at Willard, Jefferson, Tod Avenue, and McKinley Elementaries.  Gennie was always happy to meet her former students and share in their life’s successes.

She enjoyed family times together and gardening especially her beloved roses.  Gennie was a member of the Warren Rose Society and had won many awards for her roses over the years.  She was also a member of the 4th Degree Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus Warren Council #620.

She married her sweetheart William V. Chachko on August 16, 1958 and with him shared more than forty-seven years of marriage before his passing on March 23, 2006.

Mrs. Chachko is survived by her two sons, William J. (Jackie) of Hartford, OH, and Daniel J. (Laurie) of Macedonia, OH; three grandsons William M. of Ravenna, OH, Jonathan of Mentor on the Lake, OH, and Michael of Hartford, OH; two granddaughters Katie and Kelsie of Macedonia, OH; her brother Deacon Joseph P. (Bonnie) Toth Jr. of Hartford, OH; and by her many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Friday evening June 26, 2015 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Sinchak and Sons Funeral Home 727 Market Street in Warren.

Father James Walker will Celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM on Saturday morning at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, St. Cyril & St. Methodius Church preceded by a 9:30AM prayer service at the funeral home. 

Burial will follow next to her husband at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.

The Family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Shepard of the Valley and Trumbull Memorial Hospital and especially the staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for all the care Gennie received from them.
