Dorothy (Kusnir) D'Andrea

Dorothy D’Andrea, 81, of Niles, entered into eternal life Monday, June 27, 2016 at 9:47 a.m. in her home.

Dorothy was born on May 9, 1935 in Sandusky, Ohio the daughter of the late Michael and Veronica H. “Vera” Piskorik Kusnir and was a graduate of St. Mary’s High School.

A Packard Electric 1999 retiree, Dorothy worked as an assembler for over 30 years.  She enjoyed crocheting and knitting.  Dorothy was very active in the lives of her grandchildren, and was always very supportive of each of their dreams and accomplishments.  They truly were the “apple of her eye”.

Dorothy will be sadly missed by her three sons John J. D’Andrea of Niles; Michael A. (Cathy) D’Andrea of Niles and Robert J. (Jill) D’Andrea of Hartford; two brothers Thomas (Jan) Kusnir of Warren and John (Nancy) Kusnir of Port St. Lucie, Florida and seven grandchildren Olivia and Chloe D’Andrea, Nicole Matthews, Michael D’Andrea II, Sara, Megan and Benjamin D’Andrea.

Besides her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by a brother Donald Kusnir.

In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral services observed.

A caring cremation will take place with inurnment to follow in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
